Russia has made major changes to the law around dual citizenship. For many expats in Russia who could apply for Russian Citizenship, until 2020, they had to renounce your existing citizenship. This was a major barrier. Now, anyone can get Russian citizenship and keep their first citizenship. It is also one of the easiest passports to get in the world.
