Larraine is an executive coach, a member of ICF, a strengths coach, an OKR certified coach, and highly qualified to talk about the coaching practice and business in the Hong Kong market. She helps executives find the potential within themselves by using a strengths-based coach approach. She also conducts leadership development workshops to create workplace well-being and teaches managers to embrace a coaching mindset. Through her company, Ascension Associates, she provides executive coaching, executive search and talent selection for her clients. Prior to starting her company, she was a recruitment director for a local Hong Kong boutique financial services firm.
In the podcast, we explore Larraine's love of Jazz music, and its parallels to improv and great coaching. We cross-walk through her coaching journey from a recruiter, to consultant, to coach. We explore powerful questions she has used in past coaching sessions. Larraine also comments on the difference in mindsets between 'faking it till you make it,' vs 'work it till you make it.' Larraine describes how 'coaching is helping the person face themselves so that they can find their own solutions.'

“Arete Coach Podcast" Explores the "Art and Science" of Executive Coaching hosted by Severin Sorensen. The “Arete Coach Podcast" is for executive coaches and anyone considering becoming an executive coach. Severin Sorensen has provided over 7,500 hours of paid executive coaching sessions and he holds the following coaching certifications: ICF/ACSTH Certified Executive Coach (CEC), Certified Organizational Development Coach (CODC), Certified Life Coach (CLC); and the IAC: Coach Masteries Practioner. Severin Sorensen has an M.Phil in Economics at King's College, Cambridge University, and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Utah.
