Nassau County Executive Laura Curran has vetoed the Police Class Protection legislation. This bill passed the County Legislature 12 to 6 and would give Police a wide range for legal retribution against protestors. This came with the strong advice by the Attorney General of New York after concerns of First Amendment violations would soon occur after the passage of such a document. I speak about how this is a victory for working people and respond to the critiques of the veto.
