In 2018, Dr. Jessica Chung received her Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice, from Samford University. While there, she focused her research on patient education and medication adherence and developed an adherence
therapy tool that can be used in various clinical settings to assess risk of medication non-adherence and methods to improve medication adherence, to patient-provider collaboration and education.
In 2019, one of Dr. Chung's dreams came true when she opened her own private practice, J.C. Healthcare & Associates in Tampa, FL. She provides a wide variety of healthcare services to patients of all ages.
She is an educator of nursing students, a researcher, a prolific speaker, a healthcare provider, business owner, and one that has a heart and passion for mentoring students of all academic levels, in hopes of them obtaining higher education and professional success.
She has been known to emphatically state that she does not look at the profession of being a healthcare provider as just a career, but as a God-given gift and calling.

About Black Nurse Entrepreneurs.....
In 2015, the vision was born to create a very unique community that would connect black nurses in order to mentor, uplift & encourage one another. It started with a simple social media platform where nurse entrepreneurs shared their stories of how they got started. Black nurses who were interested in entrepreneurship felt comfortable reaching out & obtaining resources that they may not have gotten elsewhere.
