Sharing Jesus Authentically: Rediscovering the Heart of the Gospel
- 33:53
- August 31st 2026
For too long, many think that talking about Jesus means convincing people how bad they are and pressuring them into belief. But looking at Peter’s approach in Acts, it’s clear: the early church centered everything on Jesus—not sales tactics.
Here are 3 key takeaways for anyone wanting authentic conversations about faith:
-Focus on Jesus, not persuasion. The apostles didn’t make salvation about closing a deal; they told the story of Jesus and let the Holy Spirit do the convincing.
-Our job is to invite, not coerce. Sharing the gospel is about being honest about what God has done, inviting others to respond, and leaving the pressure—and the results—to God.
-Real “faith” means allegiance. Far deeper than just mental assent or a onetime decision, biblical faith is about pledging ongoing trust and loyalty to Jesus as King.
Let’s rethink evangelism—move away from “soul-winning” pressure and invest in genuine, hopeful conversations that build community and point people to the goodness of Jesus.
