Fall armyworm (FAW) is a problematic moth known to damage crops during its larvae stage. A native pest of the Americas, it reached New Zealand in 2022, likely from Australia. FAW is a plant pest that can feed on over 350 plant species, particularly sweetcorn and maize. For NZ farmers, FAW could be a big risk to their maize crop if conditions are conducive - tune in to this episode featuring guests from Corteva Agriscience and Pioneer Maize to discuss what you can do to protect your crop and find out more about this pest.

In this four part videos series, Vet and Researcher Emma Cuttance explains what facial eczema is, how it develops, how it can affect milk production (even when the symptoms are not visible) and how you can protect your herd from this devasting disease. We also talk to Farm Source Technical Sales Representative Nick Anderson about the different products that are available to include in your zinc control and prevention programme and he touches on the different application methods of these products. Plus we hear from Julene Fisher a farmer from Waikato who has seen the effects of facial eczema herself and how her approach has completely changed as a result.
