As Saint Lucia continues to commemorate August as Emancipation Month, a call to action for increased tolerance, unity, and inclusion across all societal sectors and groups has been issued.

Minister for Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, Hon. Joachim Henry, has passionately called for a modern Saint Lucia embodying the spirit of emancipation. As the island marks Emancipation Month, Minister Henry said that society must reflect on its journey towards freedom and continue building a community where no sector or group feels marginalized.
