Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar-George applauds the dedication of the team at the St. Jude Hospital in ensuring that the dialysis unit is fully commissioned and ready to serve the residents in the south of the island.

Given the number of people impacted by renal failure and requiring dialysis treatment, the Ministry of Health remains committed to expanding access to life-saving renal care. The dialysis unit at the St. Jude Hospital (Augier site) will be expanded to a 14 dialysis unit station.

Dr. Sharon Belmar-George along with the Principal Nursing Officer Julietta Cassius visited the newly commissioned dialysis unit at St. Jude Hospital (Augier site) to have a first-hand look at the operations since opening.
