Saint Lucia's Newborn Grants Programme officially took effect on August 1, 2026. Eligible mothers will receive a one-time EC$1,000 grant for newborns born on or after August 1, provided the child's birth is registered within six months. The programme aims to help families with immediate newborn expenses while encouraging timely birth registration.
