Ministry of Health Dispels False Claims of Toxic Substances in Drinks and Urges Public to Avoid Spreading Unverified Information

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs has been made aware of a circulating WhatsApp voice note alleging that a toxic substance is being served in drinks, leading to significant adverse health effects. After thorough assessment, the Ministry categorically states that these claims are false and entirely unfounded. At this time, no evidence exists to support the allegations made in the voice note. Preliminary investigations suggest that this voice note may be a resurfaced message from previous years, deliberately or inadvertently reintroduced. Its circulation during the festive season poses the risk of causing unnecessary fear and alarm among the public.
