Ministry of Health Embarks on Strategic Infrastructural Improvements to Enhance Primary Health Care Delivery

The Government of Saint Lucia through funding from the Health System Strengthening Project and the OECS Regional Health Project has committed to undertaking significant infrastructural developments at various health facilities around the island. This initiative is expected to play a part in modernizing the primary health care system and also improve the delivery of health services to the public. Some of the infrastructural improvements include rehabilitative works on the Fond Assau, Vanard, Babonneau, La Fargue and Richfond Wellness Centres. In the coming months, rehabilitative works are expected on the Mon Repos Wellness Centre and Dennery Hospital. The Ministry of Health is still committed to redevelopment plans for the Ciceron and La Croix Maingot Wellness Centres.
