Saint Lucia joins the global community in observing World Water Day 2026, a United Nations initiative which is observed annually on March 22nd to highlight the importance of safe water and advocate for the sustainable management of water resources.

The global theme for this year’s observance is “Water and Gender,” which explores how water and sanitation challenges affect women and girls. It also calls for women having a voice and leading when it comes to water management and decision making.
