Every October to March, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs notes an increase in individuals experiencing flu-like or respiratory symptoms. Flu symptoms can vary in intensity and include symptoms such as fever, chills and sweats, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, fatigue, headache and in severe cases, shortness of breath. Therefore, the Ministry of Health encourages residents to take preventive measures to reduce respiratory infections.
