The Substance Abuse Advisory Council Secretariat (SAACS), in partnership with the recently launched Early Warning System (EWS) Committee, has ramped up efforts to protect the public from the growing threat of new psychoactive substances (NPS) during the festive season. Through an intensive public awareness campaign, the initiative aims to educate communities about the dangers of these emerging drugs, reaffirming SAACS's commitment to combating substance abuse and safeguarding public health. With the holiday period often associated with heightened social activity, the campaign underscores the critical need for informed decision-making to prevent harm and promote safer, healthier communities.
