The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs joins in observing Medicine Safety Week from November 4-10. Now in its ninth year, the global #MedSafetyWeek social media campaign aims to promote the safe and informed use of medicines by encouraging individuals to report any suspected side effects.
This year’s theme, “ The importance of using medicines in the right way to prevent side effects, and to report side effects when they do occur,” highlights the importance of responsible medication practices for everyone’s health and well-being. Recognizing and reporting side effects helps health authorities and healthcare providers monitor the safety of medicines and make better-informed decisions for public health.
