Some people find it easy to stick to a routine, and some people find it impossible. Whether it's losing weight, exercising more or saving money, some of us have lost hope of making a new habit stick. We think we just haven't got what it takes, and it's not worth the effort. But human behaviour isn't as much of a mystery as we might imagine; big business pours a lot of money into understanding what makes us act the way we do, and how to manipulate us into spending more.

What if we could look at some of these behavioural mechanisms that usually work against us and put them to work for us, to help us save?
