Thinking Like Sherlock Holmes
Despite being a fictional character, Sherlock Holmes is the most portrayed human character in film, according to Guinness World Records. Created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a former medical doctor turned author, the genius of Sherlock Holmes as an eccentric ace detective caught the imagination of generations of people in only 4 novels and 56 short stories. His intellect, methods and collaboration with his trusted sidekick Dr. Watson continue to intrigue the public to this day. Only one minor villain ever escaped Holmes’ grasp- The Woman, as he called Irene Adler as a sign of respect.
