There are plenty of people who talk about changing the world, making it better and especially improving the lives of kids. There are far fewer who actually do something toward it. My guest today is not only doing something, but doing something amazing and changing the lives of children right here in Greene County!
Theresa Kemp saw a need and founded Victory Train. If you’re not familiar with this incredible organization, you will be inspired by the work they are doing for the kids who need it the most.
Theresa is from Dallas, Texas, one of 10 children, who grew up with education as a priority. And the results are: All ten of them graduated from college, seven of them are attorneys and nearly all have post graduate degrees! And it gets even more interesting, they all went to the same school and so did all of THEIR children!
Victory Train was created with a single goal, to help ensure that the kids graduate from high school. But they’re not working with older kids; they’re working with kids from birth through the early years, because what they found is if you wait, it’s too late. I can’t wait for you to hear how they are doing it and the results they are achieving! After hearing the story, you may want to get aboard the Victory Train too!

Lure of the Lake
Lake Oconee, Georgia, located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, is a man-made paradise with incredible beauty that makes it a great vacation destination for people of all ages. More than that, though, it's a community for those that are looking for a peaceful life filled with nature and beauty.
I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
