Chef Deborah Johnson has led a fascinating life and you will enjoy hearing all about her "French Connection"! We'll talk about her early years, and where her passion for cooking started. We'll talk about what ultimately led her to France, where she lived for nearly 20 years, and her training at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris. Speaking fluent French allowed her to, not only attend the culinary school as a student, but to actually become a translator for many of the world's famous French chefs who taught there! Are French chefs really as temperamental as we imagine them to be? You'll find out!

We will talk about macarons, if you've never had one, you have missed out on one of life's pleasures! Chef Deborah is famous in the lake area for creating the absolute best macarons you'll ever eat! In fact, I am going to actually eat one during the show, while she explains how they are made, which is quite a complex process.

If you want the definitive explanation of the difference between sparkling wine and champaign, today's show is for you! And if you'd like a couple of simple ideas that you can use at home to impress your family or dinner guests, we've got you covered!

And, of course, we'll hear about Chef Deborah's interesting journey of what "lured" her to the lake!

I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
