rew Hebert is one of those people you KNOW that when they're around, something FUN is going to happen and you are going to smile a lot! If you were going to give him a new name, it would be Mr. Pickleball! You can tell immediately talking to him that he loves everything about the sport and wants everyone to experience it too.
We'll talk about his introduction to the sport, just a few years ago, and how he fell in love with it, and like everything else in his life, he went "all in" and now holds the highest certifications in the sport! What's most interesting is that he discovered pickleball while pursuing another interest, beach tennis, yes, it is a real thing and we'll talk about it!
We'll discuss Drew's journey that ultimately brought (or "lured") him to the lake area and to Reynolds, where he now runs the pickleball program. Of course, this did not happen without a whole lot of interesting stories along the way.
Whether you already love the sport or are just getting started and want to know more, this episode will keep you entertained and educated, all told in a fun, energetic style! We'll talk about Pickleball's beginning, its incredibly rapid growth and how it is now the fastest growing sport in the country! If you ever wondered how it got the name, we'll talk about that too. And we'll talk about the emerging Professional Major League Pickleball teams with several celebrity owners including Tom Brady, LeBron James, Michael Phelps, Chris Everett and more!

Lure of the Lake
Lake Oconee, Georgia, located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, is a man-made paradise with incredible beauty that makes it a great vacation destination for people of all ages. More than that, though, it's a community for those that are looking for a peaceful life filled with nature and beauty.
I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
