Garrett Willett - Elevation Homes - "Building" A Beautiful Lake Area

My guest today is Garrett Willett, owner of Elevation Homes and a very impressive young man! Garrett, though young in years, is very talented in his profession and shows wisdom well beyond his years!

Garrett was born in Loganville, GA, from a large extended family. Having a grandfather successful in real estate, a dad who built houses for many years, then transitioned into development and now owns & manages a large number of rental houses, Garrett grew up in the home construction, home renovation & home maintenance business. So, it was a natural progression for him to follow in their footsteps. But it was not without a bump or two in the road! You’ll enjoy the story of how Garrett found himself in military school during his, shall we say, wild teen years! And despite the short tenure there, valuable life lessons resulted; that still serve him well today!

If you like success stories of young entrepreneurs, you’ll love his story of starting a roofing business before graduating from high school! And then discovering opportunities & challenges created by hurricanes, in the US and the Caribbean!

Being lured back to the lake area, Garrett was then able to start his dream of building new homes, renovating antebellum homes and, ultimately, providing beautiful renovations & remodels of homes all around the lake.

He will share some stories of what went right, what went wrong and lessons learned along the way. He’ll also give us some tips on projects homeowners SHOULD do, and a few that they should not! He’ll give you some advice on some good questions and considerations BEFORE hiring a contractor for your renovation or remodel project
