Gina Bourdeaux - 'Leap' of Faith - A Gymnast's Path To Health & Healing! Part 2
- 42:40
- September 6th 2024
I’m excited about my guest today and you’re going to be too! Gina Bourdeaux grew up a true California girl! She lived in Santa Barbara and spent lots of time on the beach, as you would expect!
At a young age, she discovered a love, and talent, for gymnastics, with dreams of being in the Olympics. She trained, a lot, for many years. Unfortunately, an injury as a teenager put her on the sidelines. It looked like her gymnastics dreams were over. Gina’s mother found another way to keep the dream alive.
We’ll talk about how, with a good doctor and a lot of hard work, she was able to continue her dream. The journey took her, first to the east coast, then to the University of Georgia! It’s a great story you’ll enjoy!
She’ll continue telling her life story, which, as we fast-forward some years later, manifested some debilitating health issues. But instead of letting those stop her, she found a way to heal and turned those issues into blessings, not only for herself, but for many other people as well!

Lure of the Lake
Lake Oconee, Georgia, located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, is a man-made paradise with incredible beauty that makes it a great vacation destination for people of all ages. More than that, though, it's a community for those that are looking for a peaceful life filled with nature and beauty.
I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
