My guest today is one of the nicest and most genuinely sincere people you will ever meet! And while I personally have many and widely diverse interests, I believe Jeff Etheridge has me beat. Growing up in a family that did a LOT of moving around the country (his dad worked in civil service with the Air Force) it gave Jeff a love of traveling to new places and developed a particular interest in National Parks. In fact, he and his wife Amanda have visited over 20 different National Parks, to date, with plenty more scheduled this year and beyond! We'll talk about a few of his favorites, perhaps some you should add to your list, if you haven't already visited. Jeff is like a tour guide, with suggestions on what to visit and even the best time of year!
We'll hear about what lured him to the lake (yes, there WAS a girl involved!) about 20 years ago. And though he's been here a while, his wife Amanda was born here. We'll talk about the changes he's witnessed over the years, some good, some not so good, and some things that just seem to stay the same!
You'll hear about one of Jeff's hobbies that has actually become a business: woodworking. His interest in woodworking started long ago, but once he got his first lathe, everything changed. His garage is converted into a workshop and now he creates specialized pieces sold in 38 different states!
I'll also ask Jeff some fun questions and you'll enjoy some of his great answers. Don't miss this fun episode! And though you may not know Jeff yet, after listening to his interview, you will want to!

Lure of the Lake
Lake Oconee, Georgia, located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, is a man-made paradise with incredible beauty that makes it a great vacation destination for people of all ages. More than that, though, it's a community for those that are looking for a peaceful life filled with nature and beauty.
I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
