Welcome to the New Year! We’re going to focus on health topics for the next few episodes and ways to look better, feel better and live well! My guests today are so interesting and bringing a wonderful, new health concept to the lake! You may have heard of hot/cold therapy, including cold plunge, but probably don’t know all the amazing health benefits it offers.

Sean & Amy Maguire have competed in a lifetime of marathons, triathlons, even full Ironman competitions. With the intense training required for these events, their bodies often let them know they’ve pushed to the limits! They discovered hot/cold therapy in the 90’s and have been students & advocates of its incredible results, particularly in reducing inflammation.

They made the decision to open “The Well”, here at the lake. We will talk about how that came about, exactly what they will offer and why this therapy is not just for athletes, but for all of us who want to live a healthier life, reduce inflammation, increase circulation, support our immune system and, so importantly, reduce stress!

The Well will also offer yoga, stretching, breath work and more! And, this is my favorite part, they want to create a community gathering place, which is one of the reasons “The Well” is such a fitting name!

Sean and Amy are such delightful people and when you meet them, you feel like you’ve known them for years! I know you will enjoy them as much as I have!

Lure of the Lake

Lake Oconee, Georgia, located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, is a man-made paradise with incredible beauty that makes it a great vacation destination for people of all ages. More than that, though, it's a community for those that are looking for a peaceful life filled with nature and beauty.

I, myself, am a member of that community. I moved to Reynolds in 2020 and started to hear the incredible stories of its residents. Join me, now, as we take a plunge into some fascinating stories of the many well-lived lives of our community and learn why they were Lured to the Lake.
