Your Inner Landscape: The Power of Renewal

I was sitting to record my most recent podcast this week, I took in the gently sunlit glow of the field across from me. The light was gently gracing the field, and it somehow reminded me of the importance of our inner landscape and the power and essential nature of renewal. The fields here have now been harvested and prepared for Spring, and most things are turning inward. The countryside has a way of knowing when it is time for rest.

My reflection then led me to contemplate longing as a powerful state and how it gives us information about what we most lack and need. The stillness in the field reminded me that winter is near, and for many of us, our longings become clear and deepen as more silence prevails.

In this time of year, it is so important to take time for personal renewal as it gives us a chance to rest and then to arrive at a place from which we can create anew. A halting of what was takes place, and we have a chance to discover and experience new possibilities.
