Pharoah Sanders an outstanding saxophone player died on 24th September 2022 aged 81, he made a massive impact throughout his long career. In 1965 he was recruited by John Coltrane and helped push the boundaries of music forward into uncharted areas of sonic and spiritual exploration with his deep soulful expressive playing.
I have seen Pharoah several times throughout the years and built a reasonable collection of his music and spent countless hours listening as he took me to places of discovery.
