Sheldon Candis | Success is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

Sheldon Candis is an anomaly, a filmmaker whose self belief has pushed him to the top. In 2012, he directed his feature film debut of Hollywood leading man Common called "LUV" (Learning Uncle Vincent). This was the beginning of a successful career as he went on to direct 30 for 30 documentaries, NBA 2K20 video games, as well as his latest project, Colin in Black and White.

We talked about how he mined his life to find a unique story that inspired his debut film. We also touched on being of service to others, how to get around the word "NO", and how to direct a video game.
