My guest in this full length episode is Sara Bird, of Flight, an organisation supporting women aged fifty and upwards to remain healthy, engaged and productive as their careers extend. Applying her PHD research and lived experience, enables Sara to produce world leading - evidence based health span and longevity strategies.

Her organization (Flight) is a workforce advisory, education and mentoring practice, of which is essential to women in the workplace, due to declining health spans in women over 60, leading towards material business risk, impact retention, productivity, absence and institutional knowledge.

Sara has appeared on national TV shows and also written a book titled Fatorexia: What Do You See When You Look In The Mirror.

On a personal level, Sara shares her own journey from weight management and body fat reduction to raising her children, whilst simultaneously overseeing a director position within various national and international companies.

We discuss obesity related health implications and the long term consequences stemming from excess weight gain.

Whilst we both work within the health and fitness sector, both Sara and I are always open to new strategies, of which the topic of weight loss medications comes into our conversation and how to navigate its's pros and cons respectively.

We also touch on how our physical health impacts relationships with families, friends, work colleagues and significant others, whereby Sara opens up about her experiences, good and bad from a young age to her current 61 years young.

May I take the opportunity to thank Sara for joining me on this channel and wish her the best in her professional career and personal endeavours going forward.
