In this short discussion I touch on a topical / current conversation and observation on the poor physical health of England Football fans watching or even attending the world cup.
The cameras at games, social media uploads or just plain old eye tests in the high streets tell us all we need to know, regarding the often overlooked physical health and or appearance of British football revelers.
The media bombarded our channels last week with a hit piece on the Scotland fans literally emptying local bars and pubs in Boston USA, by way of drinking the establishments dry.
This is great business for the bars and pubs in question, but not so much for the liver, pancreas and abdominal / ectopic fat levels under attack.
It's possible for a football fan to return home carrying an extra 7-10 lbs in added excess bodyweight, even if he or she only stayed for the initial 2 weeks, as their respective country got knocked out during the early stages of the month long tournament.
As I've witnessed in Lincoln city UK hundreds of unhealthily overweight men (and women) out in the dreaded England football tops, it's impossible to un-see the startling levels of obesity among the well meaning fans.
My advice, as a professional personal trainer is to simply stop the alcohol consumption completely, or at the very least reduce the volume and regularity of beer, cider, ale and wine o clock.
What do you think? Have you also witnessed this unhealthy trend?

Thanks for listening.
