Fernando J. Uribe-Romo was born in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. He obtained a B.Sc. in Chemistry from ITESM in Mexico in 2006, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA in 2011. He joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Central Florida in the fall of 2013. His work focuses on synthesis of materials for energy purposes.
