Marissa is passionate about electing more women to office across the world. She has worked to do so through campaigns, op-eds, and academic research, most recently interviewing individuals in Bosnia about post-war democratization and gender equality. Marissa is currently pursuing her Masters in Global Security and Borders as a Fulbright Scholar at Queen's University Belfast. She received her Bachelors in Political Science and Economics from the University of Connecticut.
