In each episode, we will visit a town or region in regional Australia and chat to the owner or founder of a business located in that part of the world. We'll learn a bit about the town and we'll learn even more about their business.
This episode, we visit Roma in Queensland and chat to Liz Fleming from The Grants Club.
regionalbiz.tv
regionalbiz.tv was established in late 2023 for a few reasons:
- We wanted to build a platform where regional business could promote themselves and their town or region.
- We wanted to provide an opportunity for regional businesses to create low cost audio and video content for their social media channels.
- Selfishly, we love chatting to regional business owners so having a platform like this gives us a great excuse!
But, primarily, we think that regional businesses should be celebrated - especially small businesses!
How does it work?
It's a pretty simple and straightforward product:
- As the owner or manager of a regionally-owned business, you have a video chat with our host, Neil Butler about your region or town, about your business and a few other things.
- The conversation is recorded and is then the high-definition video is posted to the regionalbiz.tv YouTube channel with the audio becoming an episode of the regionalbiz.tv podcast.
- You also receive the audio and video files to use however you want to use them - on your social media channels, on your web site, as part of other engagement activities. The content is yours to keep!
What do we talk about?
We'll have a standard structure for each episode we record which include some information about your town or region and about your business - how you started, what you do, how people can contact you, etc.
And because we want to help other business owners, we'll ask you to provide a tip for people who are watching or listening. This could be something you have learned, some advice you found useful or maybe something to avoid as a business owner.
