A mental health advocate and former ward of the Children's Aid Society, David is an adjunct college lecturer, community worker, consultant, and published writer and playwright.David completed graduate studies at York University and holds a diploma in Human Services Counseling (mental health and addictions). He is trained in Family Group Conferencing, Restorative Circles, and Life Skill Facilitation and has been a member of faculty in both Child and Youth Care and Social Service Work programs in Toronto, Oakville and Brampton. David regularly speaks on, and facilitates training around mental health, identity, working across difference, restorative practice and transformative change. He is a regular contributor to CBC Arts and Huffington Post Canada, and is presently completing post-graduate studies in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation.
