A native of Virginia and a graduate of The College of William and Mary, Sue Ellen Addicott has enjoyed a diverse range of positions requiring her skills in organization and management. In 1998, Sue Ellen and her husband Jerry moved to Sarasota, Florida, and she embarked on a short-lived “retirement.” During this time, her parents downsized to a retirement community and she witnessed first-hand the issues they confronted and the emotions they experienced during this move. After her mother's death in 2007, she was inspired to create “Senior Moves,” providing emotional support and logistical assistance for seniors and their families at the time of a move. Sue Ellen believed that such a service would be invaluable to the many Sarasota residents whose families live elsewhere, and whose children are not available to assist them with a move.

In 2012, Sue Ellen was named a Small Business Person of the Year finalist by the Small Business Administration for the South Florida District.

Sue Ellen has a passionate interest in quality-of-life issues for seniors and their families and has been a frequent presenter in her community on the topics of downsizing, de-cluttering, and moving for seniors.

Sue Ellen can be reached at 941-924-2842, or [email protected]. Her website is www.myseniormoves.com.
