Did you know that pornography addiction is classified in the same category as drug and alcohol addiction? The impact of pornography on the lives of women whose partners have an addiction to it can be devastating. Many women suffer in silence due to shame and lack of resources for help. Learn more about the impact of pornography addiction on women and how to find support. Hosts, Karen Doyle and Von Hosking are joined by guest, Philipa Caulfield, to navigate and break down this topic further.

Philippa Caufield is a specialized peer support group facilitator who follows the multi-dimensional partner trauma model and runs safe support groups for women experiencing trauma due to the effects of their husband's sexual addiction. Philippa shares her background and how she got involved in this field, and she talks about betrayal trauma and its effects.

It is really important to release the trauma from the body by crying, lamenting, being in nature, and/or engaging in physical activities that require energy. If someone is experiencing betrayal trauma for the first time, be gentle, allow the emotions to come through, and ask for God's guidance on what to do next. Take the first steps towards healing.
