Aid and Attendance Benefits and Housebound Allowance provides a monthly payment which increases a current VA benefit based on your situation. This additional income assistance opens up the opportunity to hire a home health aide to assist with organizing medication, bathing, eating or other needs of the Veteran and survivors to continue to live at home.

The application for this benefit can be complex so it is suggested to reach out to your VSO for assistance in applying.
