A recent case Morris v. Behrens prompts a visit to the Landlord Tenant Act. In this case the landlord sued the tenant in small claims court. The court awarded the landlord $6,366.04 in damages but after a re-trial the amount was reduced to $1,117.96. Why was there such a huge difference?
