Über Kathrin Hoeckel
Lernen ist seit jeher meine Leidenschaft. Meine Waldorfschulzeit war eine Erziehung zur Freiheit und zum eigenständigen Lernen. Im Schulgarten erkundete ich die Natur. In Theaterprojekten, Kunst- und Handwerksunterricht formte ich meine Kreativität. Parallel dazu in einer achtjährigen Ausbildung in klassischer Dressurreiterei lernte ich mich zu fokussieren und erlebte intensive Momente der Harmonie.
Mein internationales Studium führte mich an Universitäten in München, Cambridge, London, Paris und Berlin. Im Geschichtsstudium entwickelte ich kritisches Denken. Im Politikstudium lernte ich, in verschiedenen Sprachen zu argumentieren und im Wirtschaftsstudium den Umgang mit Daten und Fakten. All das waren wichtige Grundlagen für meinen Berufseinstieg als Policy Analyst im Bildungsdirektorat der OECD.
10 Jahre lang habe ich Regierungen in Bildungsthemen beraten, Analysen verfasst und Vorträge auf internationalen Bühnen gehalten. Ich bekam Einblicke in die Bildungspolitik und eine umfassende Vorstellung davon, wie Bildungssysteme und ihre Akteure, Ministerien, internationalen Organisationen, Bildungs- und Forschungseinrichtungen und Unternehmen funktionieren.
Ein einjähriger Aufenthalt als Fellow an der Harvard Graduate School of Education und parallel dazu Weiterbildungen am MIT Lab für Change Management bei Otto Scharmer brachten mich schließlich dazu, mich mit meinen Ideen zur Bildung selbständig zu machen. Es ist mir eine Freude, meine Erfahrungen weiterzugeben und Menschen und Organisationen mit passenden Bildungsansätzen zu unterstützen.
