Ilker Catak ist Regisseur des neuen Films "Das Lehrerzimmer". Darin thematisiert er u. a. Deutschlands Debattenkultur, Stereotype aufgrund der ethnischen Herkunft sowie vorschnelle Urteile.

Anhand der episodischen Geschichte der jungen Lehrerin Carla Nowack lädt er die Zuschauer ein, ebendiese Stereotype zu hinterfragen.

Der Film porträtiert dabei die verschiedenen Zugänge innerhalb einer Schule, mit einer Konfliktsituation umzugehen; in diesem Beispiel Diebstahl.
