Former Red Hat Exec DeLisa Alexander joins our host Melissa Phillippi on this episode of Tech Culture Club.

DeLisa began her career not in HR but as an attorney, eventually landing her a position on software development company Red Hat's general counsel. Based out of Raleigh, Red Hat is one of the world’s leading providers of enterprise open source solutions. DeLisa shined and was asked by the CEO to lead the people operations. She served as executive vice president and chief people officer during the later part of her two-decade journey.

DeLisa, now a board director and executive advisor to fast growing businesses, chats with Melissa about the transition from Red Hat's legal team to the human resources team, their meritocracy model, and how they structured their recognition and rewards program.
