Welcome to the Tech for Good Live Podcast, where, yep you guessed it, we talk about how tech can be used for social good. But also how the bad stuff just keeps getting in the way.

Joining host Bex is producer Paul, Greg Ashton and Tom Passmore.

In this episode, we are having a chat with our special guest Alex Nelson, Principal Designer at Hala Systems, who develops cutting edge humanitarian technology for conflict zones, like early warning systems for hospitals and schools in Syria to allow them to evacuate during bombings.

We find out more about the challenges he faces in that role, there’s a plea for tech and design companies to do more to support right to left text and Arabic in their tools, and we hear his thoughts on the tech world at the moment.
