The mayor is also planning to make the environment centrepiece of his Tenure if re-elected  and is asking people To contribute to his manifesto.

But will we see bold steps like in other cities across the UK.

Things are going well for renewables though as between July and September last year the UK produced more energy from renewables than fossil fuels for the first time
