Maryann Meken-Silvestri is an award winning fused glass artist, raised in a multigenerational, multicultural family. She was taught about providing comfort through experiences within her family.
Maryann's husband Al, a Vietnam War Veteran, began experiencing medical difficulties as a result of his exposure to Agent Orange. She will share her experiences caring for her husband and some of the lessons she learned from her family.
In addition she will share her wonderful recipe a traditional Greek chicken soup called Avgolemono Soup

She followed up these books by becoming a motivational speaker who inspires all with her unique “Tao and defiant” spirit. Bringing the ancient philosophy of the Tao to our modern-day culture, she helps women and girls travel an easier path through life as they find confidence, balance and boldness in a world of challenges.
Her latest book, “One Pedal at a Time” shares her adventure as caregiver to her husband after his cancer diagnosis and subsequent strokes.
