In 1965, during a time of rioting, revolution, and a break down of law and order, Rushdoony began the Chalcedon Foundation in order to represent a countermeasure to the prevailing ideas of that time as well as equip disillusioned Christians with a victorious gospel.

His writings during this time were especially prescient, and what we are experiencing now is a close reflection of what was happening during the 1960s.
