In order to be successful in social selling and growing one's LinkedIn audience, it is important to focus on outbound outreach and content. Positioning is key, and it is important to choose a niche and focus on becoming the go-to market leader in that niche.

The conversation began with a discussion of the importance of niche marketing, and how it can be used to improve the effectiveness of outbound messaging. The idea of scalable personalization was introduced as a way to make messages more personalized without sacrificing scale. Finally, a strategy for research-based personalization was described, using the example of a client who hires engineers.

The conversation is about how to find and contact potential employers in a specific field. The speaker suggests doing research to find companies that are hiring in that field, and then finding the hiring managers at those companies and writing a personalized message. If you do this research and use automation technologies, you can out perform many other recruiters out there.
