Ep 32. Hell Hath No Fury Like Taylor Mildly Inconvenienced w/ Taylor Proctor Pt 1

"Where did you go Taylor?" her husband would say to her more times than she cared to mention. The child with the happy go lucky charisma, with the creativity to make grass tacos for her horses, the joyful nationally ranked track star, the bubbly eye-in-the-sky radio producer/reporter...had developed a nasty case of the angry entitled victim mentality.

And Taylor Proctor, who has an uncanny resemblance to that woman who told you that smoking is not allowed in Delta in-flight videos, admitted. She didn't know where to go or even where to start. So she googled it. She googled "how to be happy."

With the expertise mindset that she developed from track, Taylor knew that just because she made a decision to be happy didn't mean that it was devoid of work. And on the first part of her journey towards becoming a happiness mentor, and a damn good one, she realized two illusions.

  1. There is the expectation that she should inherently be happy.
  2. There is a "societal checklist" that she needed to make, and to check of the 2.5 children, the white picket fences made of ticky tacky, etc equated to more happiness.

Taylor Proctor is remarkable...and this is just part one of her happiness journey.

In her words:

I'm a transformational happiness mentor, happiness podcaster, and speaker. I blend my experience as a global marketing director, leading international teams, with my mentoring certification to help my clients — individuals who find themselves wishing for more purpose, peace, and happiness — discover their personal happiness routines. Together, we uncover and implement the life they've always dreamed of.

Whether I'm podcasting, training a group, or working one-on-one with my clients, I love sharing actionable techniques and exercises to inspire positive change, increase confidence, encourage vulnerable leadership, and remind others that they're capable of happiness abound.
