As a child, Selena spoke with the moon people. She felt like she saw the world through a different lens than others. And at the time, it wasn't a form of difference that she was proud of. Nor was it a form of difference that garnered praise.

The shaming and mockery became a bit too much for young Selena. It resulted in her "dialing down her love." Selena learned to comply with life's unspoken rules - and tuned up the people-pleasing for her Canadian Indian-Muslim family to an 11. It ultimately led to her getting married. And after her divorce, she chose to step away from the familiar, and go on an extended pilgrim - one free from shame or judgment or expectations.

It was on her pilgrimage that she embraced all of her charming quirkiness, and fine-tuned the gifts she used to repress - the gifts that led her to become an intuitive coach, NLP practitioner, transformative facilitator, and energy healer.
