Hospice agencies care for their patients all day, every day. What should patients and caregivers expect from on call services during the night, weekends, or on holidays? We’re talking about “on-call” services in today’s episode. Being a seriously ill person or a caregiver for someone who’s seriously ill is very isolating. It can feel like there’s no one else in the world awake, no one who cares what you’re going through. Your hospice team is available to support you every hour of every day. Whether you need help with symptoms or you have a question, you should always be able to reach a nurse. Support from a social worker or chaplain is available as well. You’re not alone. Your end of life journey matters. The Heart of Hospice is here to help you make that journey. Find more information at theheartofhospice.com. Have a question? Check out our podcast page to learn more about hospice care, or send your question to [email protected]. We’ll send a personal reply. No matter who you are, you are The Heart of Hospice.
