Our guest is Muriel Attané, Secretary General of EARTO – the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, representing more than 350 organisations. Muriel is one of those people that have worked about Europe and for Europe all her life. From her master thesis, in which she questioned if a federal budget was needed, to being Secretary General of European associations for the good part of the last 15 years.

We have a lot of interesting topics to go through, we´ll get to know Muriel and EARTO better, explore the role of the entities it represents in research and innovation ecosystems, the challenges around the next framework programme, Horizon Europe, among others.

During our conversation we talk about EARTO´s work on preparing an adequate framework programme in representation of its members. Check here their recommendations for research, development and innovation policy post-2020.

At a later stage in the episode we touch upon the role of Research and Technology Organisations in the fight against COVID-19. Here are some more in-depth examples with further links.
