Henri Ghijben is a property investor and business owner who owns a successful tree surgery business in Southampton. Henri built his first business from a one man band, starting with a £10,000 loan and operating from from a rented garage. This transformed to a company employing over 47 staff with a 2 million pound turnover per year.
In 2019, the worst happened and Henri lost his first business - losing his family home in the process. He hit rock bottom and it tested his resilience to nearly breaking point. The business failed, largely due to not understanding the importance of knowing the numbers and having the right systems in place.
Since then, Henri has started 2 other businesses, Edify SA Ltd which runs serviced accommodation units and Edify Properties Ltd to buy and refurbish houses and flats. Finding the best deals and helping people get great returns on their investments. Henri has invested a significant amount of time on self learning and is starting to get traction on all of his businesses.
In this episode he passionately shares his story and the lessons he’s learnt, hoping that in doing so, he can prevent others from hitting rock bottom like he did in 2019.
